LMI is a full-service firm providing all necessary design and technical services from the pavement analysis and testing to our complete construction oversight and inspection testing capabilities.
Visual reviews are typically part of an initial investigation where conditions are assessed by condition, severity, and frequency. Visual reviews may be utilized during 3rd party reviews, preparation of budget forecasting, specifications for immediate repair, and where improvement recommendations are relatively minor.
Pavement core sampling explore and define present roadway conditions, layer thickness and prior resurfacing history. Pavement core data will be combined with laboratory soil strengths and projections of
future traffic use to develop appropriate replacement sections and possible overlay requirements.
The LaBelle Marvin, Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD), measures dynamic forces transferred to the pavement relative to typical truck and bus use. Deflection based strength measurements are utilized for the design of roadway rehabilitation alternatives, pavement life projections, acceptance of completed construction projects, and measurement of impacts from traffic use.
LaBelle Marvin, is capable of measuring an entire roadway Faster and Safer using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR).
Each pavement layer is measured and documented, providing real time, thickness information.
